Symantec Endpoint Protection management services are currently offline.

Impact: SEPM reporting not available; SEPM consoles from MUSEP01 and MUSEP02 not connecting to configuration database. SEP clients will continue to receive updates and continue to operate using configurations received during their last contact with SEPM host.

Affected Applications: Symantec Endpoint Management Console on MUSEP01 and MUSEP02.

Symantec Management Services are coming back online. The disruption was caused by a defect in v. 14.2 of the SEPM application services which causes app-to-database authentication issues when certain special characters are used in the SQL service account password.
