Barracuda Cloud Migration for MARSHALL.EDU EMail

Update: The migration to Barracuda Cloud is complete. MX records have been updated to direct incoming marshall.edu email through barracuda cloud without any issues. Email flow was not impacted during this transition. Please notify the IT Systems team if you notice any issues with incoming email.

Purpose: We will be migrating from our on-premises Barracuda SPAM appliances to Barracuda Cloud ESS for email spam protection. Modification to our marshall.edu MX record will be done during our normal Sunday morning maintenance window (5/19/2019) starting at 6AM. We anticipate little to no impact from this change. The current Barracuda appliance will remain functional on-site to continue processing marshall.edu email until the MX record change fully propagates through the internet. This change will affect incoming email to the marshall.edu domain.
